Yes, we've done the output/talent comparison before. Mike Patton, John Zorn, Senmuth, ect.

yes i was going to say Buckethead too but i think the key distinction is QUALITY over QUANTITY. i love a LOT of buckethead's music but yes a LARGE chunk of it is pretty crappy. He has some outstanding albums but i don't think any compare to the genius of devin's. mike patton a few years back too, but again some is amazing some isn't. Devin hasn't disappointed once yet.

and speaking of buckethead, i've been listening to Colma and Electric Tears a lot lately, kind of similar to what Devin's been going thru lately w/ Ki and the 4th album. I wonder if he listens to Buckethead and if he enjoys this side of him? I bet he would.

please. you can't possibly tell me that ALL of in search of the... or every death cube k album is GOOD!? Kevin's noodle house... most of the Cobra Strike albums.. cornbugs, deli creeps, frankenstein brothers... all crap IMO.

and let's be honest, just because the director's cut is incredible doesn't mean the fantomas s/t is equally as good. and just cause california and mr. bungle s/t is amazing, does not mean i have to tolerate most of disco volante. lovage... BORING. romances... BORING. and i don't care how creative he is, his solo "voice" albums are not music, it is, in fact, just creative noise.

like i said, i love both of these artists, but they put out so much that only maybe 2/3 is truly amazing. with devin, 100% is

Buckethead's had maybe 5 sub par albums. All the bands you just mentioned are great.

And Disco Volante was THE BEST Bungle album. And Fantomas' self-titled was their second best cd. And all of patton's solo stuff, and Lovage, and his collaboration with Kadaa were awesome. The only two albums Mike Patton has ever made that were sub par was Maldoror and Weird Little Boy, and I'm on the fence with Maldoror.

I won't argue about the Devin thing, though. Everything he's released is gold. But just because you don't like an album doesn't mean it's crap.

So sorry bout that.

Nono. It does. Sorry Sam. Your opinion is wrong. WRONG.

I don't think you should say one Bungle album is better than another. I like California the most out of all of them, but I don't like Ars Moriendi.
OT: Devin is prolific compared to most artists, and puts out better stuff than those who are more prolific. IMHO.
