If I had a guess, it's just a cool sounding word. That's if you use the same rationale as Devy's lyrics. (not taking things too seriously etc)

well syn means like togetherness...

I asked my "local" (only about 30 minutes by bike...) if they would be getting Synchestra. No matter how I pronounced it, the guy didn't get it anyway. I had to spell it out for him and he still missed it.
