Now, I wonder... how many think they'll be able to listen to this monster of an album and NOT cry when the last track has faded out?

Seriously man......... Good luck in not crying ! This album is unbelievable and by the 11th song you do want to cry, if not cry. Synchestra is such an uplifting experience by the time it's over. It's beautiful and awesome.

I really hope you all enjoy it and 'get it', like Dev says.

I've only had that feeling a few times in my life, listening to records. One of those times was when I listened to Ocean Machine and when The death of music hit me... hehe, I wanna feel it again!!!

I've got it all figured out now... I'm gonna lock myself in my room, late at night... nobody else there... put on my expensive headphones and let my mind wonder with the music...

Just reading Ryan and Devin's post about their perspectives on Synchestra almost makes me want to cry! When I read what you guys posted, I truly see how much passion you have for not only this record, but for music overall.

You guys (Devin, Ryan, Brian, Mike and Dave) are all gods in my book and I do not know how I'm gonna be able to wait for Synchestra to come out. May you guys continue to kick maximum arse and hopefully I can see you guys on tour!

I know that feeling - get's me right there every time.....still.

I've not posted here for a while and have mostly been over at the SYL home. Reading Dev's post really brought me scampering back. Hmm. "Scampering". Terrible choice of words.

I had so many things to write but having read A-Daamage's opener they'd totally nailed 90% on my thoughts.

I guess I'd just add, like others, that it *is* actually DTB releases that really get all my emotions running. The SYL stuff is great, don't get me wrong, but there's just that certain thing about hearing the run of a more Devicentric platter that connects with me.

Most of my favourite tracks are the builders, the epics or the powerfully lyrical ones so this album already sounds right up my street.

Having met SYL in the past, and done some street team stuff when Alien hit, it feels just the right time for the next DTB to come through. Kinda fits naturally.

Keep the faith in us "getting it" Dev, but keep doing it as the need hits you. I think you'll find things work out better than better.

Here's to venue staff having to mop up the tears as the 11th track hits us when you tour it live in the UK. *cough* Newcastle *cough*

Oh, come on, we can hope, right ?

DTB is my favourite band EVER.
Dev's music makes me feel better. It enters in my head, heart and soul. I need it!!

Dev's post about Synchestra has made me happy.
I can't wait to have that album in my hands... The most difficult wait ever!!!

Thanks to Devin and to all the guys in DTB. Y'all rule.

I love you too.

Devin's music has more power behind it compared to other music. Although others do put in emotion, he puts complete life into it. He makes music it's own entity.

And it is with that and hearing that this may be more powerful and better than cds such as the all mighty Infinity and Terria?

I am like a five year old on Christmas Eve.

Like all you loyal Devites I'm dying to hear this album, the man makes music that feels alive and i love every note.

I don't know about the rest of you,but i want DTB to be huge i want to see them play with awesome PA's and with full lighting (i do this for a living so give me a shout  ) This music deserves to be heard by everyone, not just us crazy Devin worshippers.

Roll on the release date.

Like Alien put SYL over the top, could Synchestra do the same for the DTB?

Well, I don't know if there's anything I can add that hasn't already been said, hehe.

Devin, thanks for communicating some of what you're feeling at the moment. I can only speak for myself, but believe me, your message isn't being lost in the ether. The need for positivity is probably stronger now than it has ever been, so thankyou for making such a huge contribution to our collective musical psyche!

I love what you do and long may you continue to do it. You've got my support, big fella!

Thank you so much for the post Devin, that was a intersting read. I'm glad to hear you have given up the pot, but I just wanted to add to the sentiments most people have but before, your music has made my life that little bit better, and I feel it always will. Thank you so much again Devin :).

I'm quite curious to see, hem, hear how it'll sound. Well like anyone else here of course, but I mean, usually negative, sad, melancholic, or at least not happy things tends to be more indelible in our mind I'd say (you may remember a movie more than others because it doesn't end very well for instance).
And in a way I wonder if Ocean Machine isn't a proof of that. Well I don't know much how positive/negative the lyrics are cuz' as I've already said, I care about the sound more than the words to feel the atmosphere, but though the album doesn't sound particularly negative, it sounds terribly humble IMO, too humble to be positive, like shit happens and... well... it happens (and in a way, Terria is a bit like that too, sounds like a travel, but more like a travel with no particular destination sometimes) (and SYL is the opposite, makes you feel invicible). Poor human beings we are^^.

So, with that said, I'm curious to see how a positive album will mark my mind, and yup', a bit of positivity can't hurt... *pessimist-man inside* (though, as Ryan said it goes through different atmosphere during the 11 songs, it may be great ! Let's hope it ends in a happy way^^)

And yup', Terria particularly is a nice "in between" (though he may be the only one to understand the real meaning of "in between" )

And 6 long songs, greaaaat ! I hope Synchestra has its own "Bastard", in its own way.

What to add?

It's rare for an album to actually genuinely pull a visible emotional reaction out of me, and really, in recent years, only Porcupine Tree - In Absentia, Green Carnation - Light of Day, Day of darkness and The Dev - terria have done so, which makes the anticipation for the new album that much stronger.
