Bleh. Those reviews are terribly written. I just hope the album is as good as they're trying to say it is.

that review made the album sound awesome, but what the hell was with all the metaphors and weird shit? I mean a few are cool but it seemed like this guy was more into thinking of weird ways to describe stuff rather than thinking about the actual album.

I don't know why, but yeah, he did seem to want to compare everything to something else. It was a little bit strange.

Rating: 4/5 - not to shabby!!

Good rating, but I think that guy may have had one too many psychotropic uppers and a side-salad of mushroooms before he sat down to write that hyperbolic and surreal review.

Yeah, but a great quote: "The Devin's in the details."

its like one of those reviews in rolling stone. But you know the way they write it up its as if the record company is putting a gun to the writer's head so that the magazine can give the label more advertising.

The Devin is in the details, that's for sure. H?The reviewer preceds the statement with: "as they say...." which tells me he is taking it from somewhere else. From fans, maybe? Anyone else heard that before? The line shows he knows/understands Devin well, plus he pays homage to Limp Bizcuit - who we all know REVOLUTIONIZED metal!!

Little joke on that second part, just in case anyone was dumb enough to take me seriously. ;)

I think the joke you're referring to is the Limp Bizkit thing. As to the "Devin is in the details..." bit, well, the writer is making a pun on the common saying, "the devil is in the details" which people say when the suggest that something sounds simple to do but is going to be more complicated when you look at it closely. So, that's why he writes, "as they say..."

I hope you didn't know that already because then it makes me a condescending ass. :)

Or, I could just fuck off.
