Buying the CDs direct from HDR works out cheaper than going to HMV or even the independent local stores.

I would rather pay a 'good price' and know that the money is going to the artist and his family, rather than have them get a little less, with the middle men chipping away a little bit at every level.

I suppose its the price we pay for giving independent artists the freedom to do what they want and have total creative control of their music.

BTW, I didn't really see anything wrong with the question.

I pretty much buy most of my stuff via Hevy Devy, the prices have never been an issue, it is decent value and I know the money is going to a good home. Newsletter and speedy delivery, its ace! :D

Cant forget the smiley either :D

I think most people from the UK are in the same boat...buying from HDR works out far cheaper, and you get the added (huge) bonus of a smiley face and newsletter!

Very well said...I like to know my money's going to the artist and not some dumb shop...plus, when I pre-orderd AE it came before the release date :)

In sweden all the devin records costs 89 or 99 SEK which is like 9-10 Euro and that is very cheap, but that is online i never buy records in stores.

CDs from HDR are actualyl cheaper/the same price as what i pay at store(usually less since all the bands i like are from sweden :P)
