Here;s my cat who hates me, lol...though oddly he seems to look my bed

When my brother went out on his own, his landlord stipulated that he could have one cat and said feline *must* be declawed. Since he always wanted a Calico, he went straight to Cassie and was guilt-tripped into taking along her brother Duncan. They were quite the fine duo but unfortunately, Duncan had an undiagnosed health issue and dropped dead one morning.

In the wake of Humphrey's passing, my brother became very partial to black+white kitty cats. So when a kitten with Humphrey-head was abandoned on a friend's doorstep, brobro promptly took him in and named him Layne. There aren't *that* many pics of Layne as he was a brat who bit everyone except one person, who was given the cat and had him stolen when his girlfriend turned out to be in hiding under an assumed name until her ex got out of jail or something like that.

Leonard (aka Lenny) was one of four kittens essentially abandoned in my parents' backyard. He joined our family last winter around the time it became clear he would die if we didn't do something. (And he was the one they decided to keep.)

Cats rule!

These are Leonard's brothers, Adolph and Oliver. They both got homes early on. Their sister, betty, was lost when it occurred to my neighbors that they really ought to fix a female cat if they wanted to keep her as they got overwhelmed by the kittens um every time.

Niko's grown a lot since this picture . . . unfortunately most of it's been outwards of late. Gwynn and Gus are fit and trim but Niko eats to finish every last crumb so he's a meatball. It's all cute and everything, but worries me. Upon reflection, my bro found signs that Duncan had overstressed his body during the 18 lb-ish days. Worse comes to worse I'll try keeping Niko with me in the morning while the others eat. Of course Gus will probably either get jealous or concerned and sit by the bathroom door until Niko's freed. Curse of raising an insanely sweet kitty.

Martha's "my" normally marked cat (meaning she lives with the parents and I moved out but she still has moments where it's clear I'm #1). She's your basic tuxedo. Humphrey wasn't that far off from your standard non-tux b&w cat but he had this awesome distinctive ring pattern on the end of his tail.




Of course, Cassie's a pretty normal-looking Calico. However, she's very much not my cat. We're good friends, but have never lived together.
I also think she lacks a "goatee." I never really saw cats with that one color patch on the chin then we suddenly had 6 in the family. Go figure.

Well, I *meant* to put one up but kind of forgot about it for almost two years. Then my wife joined expressly to view this thread and I was given the new job of keeping this going until the day you close shop. So I figured I might as well use an avatar in keeping with my position here at the forums.

Greg seems to have forgotten about a few members of our extended family
