Of course it's going to seem "easier" but there's really no "easy" tunings. I'm just kind of tired of seeing a lot of Dev worshipers clinging to Open C tuning because he uses it. Yes it's a fun tuning and yes you can write some cool stuff with it, but it feels very limiting because of the repeating intervals in the strings. I typically play in drop tunings, but never really open tunings.
Well I had always planned to purchase several guitars for different tunings at the moment i just had the two, A Black one i use for some low tuned work, Gorjira, Dev (open C and B).
and The second standard guitar, i some times tune down slightly dropped for Behemoth and I currently have it set to a 7-String tuning xD AEADGB No top E xD just so i can play Some Ron Jarzombek stuff that doesnt use alot of the bottom E that'll sound alright xD works for me until i can afford a 7, but i was gonna wait, Once i can play Wrong side sweeps i will of considered myself worthy of a 7-string and quick enough for more of Rons work. (and yes i know before you say, its not all about speed, trust me ive got fluidity covered too

)
I started in Open Because of Dev yes, But im not clinging too it out of some homeage, hense ^^ the aforementioned tuning up and down for other artists
