Working on an Ocean Machine cover

ive been trying to decide on a devin song to cover and ive narrowed it down to
Seventh wave, Regulator or Bastard...

Ive done rough demo versions (just guitar and keys) of all three songs on my home studio and they sound good, although i cant get the keys to sound right in bastard, i think im gonna have a go at doing a proper cover of Seventh Wave. Ive got it nailed on guitar (although it is very easy) and keys, i know a good drummer who loves Dev but i was thinking of adding a twist by using a female vocalist. I think this would sound really cool especially during the "on my way pass it on..." part, what do ya'll think?

Bastard would be awesome with a female vocalist! Good luck! :D

By the way, how are you tuning? I've always played Bastard on a regular-tuned seven string, just for convience sake.

But obviously, thats not how the man himself played it. (Unless i've been terribly mis-informed).

Supposedly Dev himself doesnt remember what tuning Bastard is in. (GOD I WISH HE DID!)

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guitar_tuning:

B modal:(Low-High); B-F#-C#-F#-B-D# (Used by Devin Townsend, In the song Bastard from Ocean Machine)

I think either "Seventh Wave" or "Bastard" would be the best. I think "Regulator" needs that whole aggressive, wide-ranged male quality...
