I'll work on the guitar version in the near future.

I'll try to arrange it for my mandolin orchestra also. Cello will probably do the vocals. I guess I'll have to revisit the Little black dots/tempomental (http://www.vai.com/LittleBlackDots/tempomental.html) page on the Steve Vai site FUCK!

Get something to record with! If you have a PC then you only really need a microphone and some patience. The software side of things is easier to sort out (ahem). Please, if you have the time to record this I would make love to you whilst you do so. Seriously though, I would love to hear this!

And an orchestra....whoah....I cant imagine what that would sound like!!!

With you making love to me while I record I just might pull it off, but the problem is I would subconsciously make mistakes so that the loving would last longer. No, seriously, I might give it a shot in the near future. I just remembered my good buddy has an mp3 player with a dictaphone, so I can record on that. I also found a cheap old Profitec microphone I bought like 15 years ago (now under 10€ on eBay ), so yeah, I can actually make some sort of recording, its quality is another issue though.

And a mandolin orchestra playing Shitstorm would sound fuggen amazing. But that's still in the wet dream phase. We'll see.

Seriously, the main problem here is playing the damn thing. There isn't likely to be anyone else that could attempt to do such a thing, or would want to. Well...maybe....Josiah? Ha!

Anyway, if you sort out a microphone then I am sure people here (myself included) can help you record it. Even just a few takes, just for giggles. Even a simple PC microphone can record things fairly cleanly if you are careful. Software can be used to improve the recording also.

So basically...please! I am sure people here would be extremely interested to hear it. See the HDAS project for my thoughts on such things.

Well, this is all true. However, I was more meaning that I find it really cool to hear people intpreting songs in their own way. So in the same way that I was very proud to have Armheadmcgee's cover of Canada played on a marimba, I would be proud to include Shitstorm played on the Mandola on some sort of album.

And also I just generally like listening to peoples creative outputs, I find it very inspirational.

So what sort would this some sort of album be precisely? As I understand, you are not too keen on doing the whole album with interpretations of various Devin's music?
