In order for me to lay some groovy tunes, I need drums. Problem: I don't have a drummer, and don't really know how to go about adding drum samples or loops. Any suggestions?
Oh, and I don't have a lot of money for a drum machine.

i've got the same little problem.
Well there are some cheap little effects on Pro Tools and such. You can use that to make drums.

I've used Fruity Loops a bit. For drumsamples, find Natural Studios NS Kit (it's free and pretty decent).

as a drummer, i think a way better way of making drums sound good is by writing them down on some program, as you'd do to any other instrument. Unless you don't mind the same drum loop over and over again.
oh yeah, and then sample it, obviously.

Does Fruity Loops make your music sound gay?

Depends, if you're good and you know what you're doing, it doesn't. If you suck, it'll make your music soundd gay -or worse.
