Anyone else own a Shure Beta 58A?

I just bought one of these mics off of ebay. Holy crap, what a great mic! It utterly destroys all of the Apex crap I've been using lately, and is even noticeably better than the regular Shure 58. My vocals are so much clearer now; you can actually make out words during practice :D . I'm even having to change my style somewhat, now that I can hear exactly what I'm doing.

I was just wondering if anyone else has one of these, and what you think of it. There are some great deals on ebay...

we use em at work all the time for vocal mainly, but also make a good instrument Mic. We work in co-operate theatre, not really music but hell yeah, they're a great mic

They are the industry standad for live use now too. Everyone from Trent Reznor to Mikael Ackerfeldt uses them.

That's true!
Actually, I've never been in a venue where they didn't have that mic! (At least here in Denmark :) )

You can always trust a Beta 58A!

In the same price range I like the Sennheiser e835 or e845 better. The 58 sounds muffled compared to them.
