I've never heard anything good said about Chris Impelliteri and I once saw some videos of Michael Angelo - very boring, and there was a strange bit in the middle which was sped up while the audio stayed the same. It just looked really stupid. I know that guy I posted was boring, but those were just exercises and Michael Angelo (is it one word or two) was playing a whole song.

Yeah it tends to get stupid and boring. But still Michaelangelo does some fluid picking and proper notes in full speed, weird picking position innit?

Michaelangelo is Michaelangelo for a reason, that shit was amazing in my opinion. Very good excersise to work on!

Michael Angelo is imo one of the most boring, tasteless and annoying guitar players i have ever heard.

The same goes for Rusty Cooley. Just horrible.

Rusty is pretty funny though. Download the video from his website and you can see him just sitting in his bedroom noodling away with a Gladiator mask in the background.

Dude, the strange bit in the middle is NOT sped up, that is the whole idea. Chinese gave Angelo a nickname: Hands Without Shadows. On that strange bit you thought was sped up you can see why. His hands ARE that fast. You literally can't see them.

Cooley and Angelo are light years apart. Angelo only needs a decent band while Rusty can't be saved. IMO.

Yeah, his site once was linked at the SYL-forums and I checked him... I just saw the exercises, but then I heard that his "songs" don't really differ from this somehow pointless and constant high speed-shredding. Doesn't he - and lots of other fast guitarists as well - know that his/ their speed shines alot more when done here and there and not all the time, leaving no place for something called melody?

Yep, he is scary-fast! But nothing original or creative to offer...maybe he should get a "not-so-good" guitarist to write riffs for him...

And his vibrato is awful.
