I should buy a cheap one for my laptop, but they seem almost same to me. Please recommend one, what I need is firewire or USB card with guitar input, and prefer one with microphone input too. And cheap as hell please, just to get started, I will buy a better system for desktop later anyhow.

Just a cheap one to begin with <£100, since if and when I get serious I will get a proper system.

What real practical benefits you can find on firewire in daily use? I don't see any problems with USB unless there's hilarious number of inputs. That firewire on is almost twice the price of comparable usb boxes in the end.

Go firewire, it may be twice the price but the improvement over what you can do with it is well worth it.

I have just done a live show with 24 tracks simultaneously over firewire and the pc was more than happy to work at 40% cpu usage. Usb cannot handle this amount of tracks.

Check out the Mark of the unicorn (MOTU) site, they have interfaces for laptops and you should be able to find what you need there.
