I'm curious what other guitarists on this forum use for equipment. This is my setup:
Dean Explorer with EMG 81's, or Jackson JS30KE with EMG 81's into
5150 signature model head on a Crate cab with
Roland GP-100 hooked into the effects section
I use D'Adarrio 10 - 52 strings, Dunlop Tortex 1.0 mm picks and Monster Cable instrument and speaker cables. Tuning is BEADF#B for the Dean, CGCGCE or CGCFAC for the Jackson.
If you can't tell, I've been going for the "City/Biomech" sound ever since I heard those albums. Oddly though, I've been using D'Adarrio 10 - 52 strings and Tortex 1.0 mm picks WAY before I heard any of Dev's music, so to find out he uses the same strings and picks was pretty cool. It was also sweet to learn that he uses Explorers, as I got my Dean because of Hetfield, since the black album pretty much introduced me to metal.
So, what do you guys use to express your musical creativity?
