He is the guitarist that played almost 11 years with Dixie Dreggs and that now plays in a quinquagenary band named Deep purple ?

Yes, that's him ... I love his tee-shirts and his hair cut . However he is a killer guitarist ... everybody should check the "on the pipe" solo

haha, I know you know him already, but are you a guitarist? Did you play something? Well, good for you anyways. You deserve a treat.

Even I know Steve Morse. And I'm not (yet) a guitarist, just a dumb bassplayer.

BTW, I think Devy is an underrated guitarist as well. I think his playing is more than amazing, but nobody seems to give him credit for that. I wonder why. Maybe because he didn't solo that much before Terria?

Haha same thing with Hetfield. Good singer and a BRILLIANT rythm player but everyone thinks Kirk Hammet is the good guitarist there?!?!

Hammet was good ... But I don't understand the abuse of the wha wha pedal since the black album ...

I am sorry but he sucks.

Does it imply that you are probably a better than him or Yngwee ?
Just curious ... :)

I'm not a fan of him, I saw Metallica "live" and i don't think that Hammet sucks at all ... The path they took and the whole guitar sounding direction can be discussed but how can a guy that has been taught by Satriani can be that bad ?

If you don't remember, i also hate Satriani. Just another Van Halen rip-off. Boring.

Sorry Finn but Van halen and Satriani are different on every point .
Ok, Satriani tends to become repetitive since two or three records (I don't include the engines of creation album) but I never heard someone with Van Halen's technique, tone, and style (maybe Lukather, but he is different anyway)

Van Halen has an unique sound but there's loads of boring guitarists who use Van Halen's technique.

two hand tapping and all that ?

Well ... Of course, but they will never sound the same ...

Well that's why I didn't say that Van Halen sucks. He does not.

Of course, but Hammet is not that bad ... Shit Metallica are good, it's just that at 40 years old they slowed down a bit with "Load" and they made a come back a garage band with "St Anger". They made a bad choice in my opinion but the guys are good musicians, even if Hammet forgot how to play solo guitars on St Anger ...
