Hello there,
oddly enough, I've found a cheap way to get a really cool DTB sound by using an OLP Axis (it downtunes to CGCGCE like nothing), a Zoom 500 pedal and a nice Fender 25W. As an amateur guitarist I'm pretty satisfied of this gear to get the DTB/Devin approach.
Cheers

Are you statisfied with your Laney amp?
I've never tried them, because I've been really sceptical, since I've heard Mastodon. I don't like their guitar sound, and it seems to be pretty "Laney-ish". But this is just one sound.
Do you have some samples of your guitar playing on the Laney amp?

I am pretty satisfied with it yeah, but given the chance I might swap it for something else. You can get a lot of nice tones out of it.

Sadly at the moment I don't have any samples of me playing through my Laney apart from on my old bands CD that was made about two years ago or so and I think I've lost that. I should be recording with my new band around or after September so I'll show you when that's done. :)

Does the OLP really feel/play/sound like a Music Man? I've been curious aboot them, but have yet to be able to play one.

Guitars i currently use with my band...
Ibanez RG1527 and RG7621

Into Pedals...

Dunlop DB01, Boss SD-1 or MXR ZW Overdrive (depending on what mood im in), then into a Boss NS-2

then it goes straight to my Laney VH100R and GS421PA cab with vintage 30's or Marshall 1960a (this is my practice room cab or gigging for the venues you dont really want to take your better gear too).

I have a Boss CE-5 in the clean channel effects loop, saves tap dancing issues as i always use chorus when im on clean anyway :)

Some cool rigs also!
