I have been playing around with odd tunings. Currently i have an open "C" guitar for my "dev style" stuff, and recently my other beast went down to a G tuning G-C-F-Bb-D-G.

Sounds alot like the guitar sound Mushuggah - Catch 33.

Pretty awsome, especially playing in octaves. I will have the first song finished in several weeks so ill post it soon.

I like the open c because it gives a really odd feel to the music, i like it really dissanant but still very musical too. I haven't looked at chord patterns or progressions... some reading to be done me thinks.

After learning Sweeps and paterns in drop C and that stle tuning i can't go to drop C yet. Seems uncomfortable. I can still get a Dev sound using my current shapes. It's about whats more comfortable
