Have you listened to "Night", while travelling at night, preferably on a rainy night ?
That's on my to-do list if I ever go to Japan.

Listening to Bastard in the harbour would be great too (the giant fish market is something supposed to be worth visiting, not sure why :þ). Well technically that may work in any harbour, but Japan would add a bit of exotism...

Have you been on a quest for the No Sleep' limited box ? You may find some for a fair price (= not 120$ on auction). And if you can find one for each and every member of the board that'd be great too :þ (we'd pay you back of course^^)

Yes, I HAVE listened to "Night" in my 1994 Suburu Impreza wagon WHILST driving in the rain, and I had the biggest grin on my face. Windows down, screaming out of key...

I actually plan on doing these things while in Japan:

Going to Fukuoka and taking a picture by the sign that says the town name and sending that to Dev and Family as a Christmas card next year. Didn't pan out this year. I already have a picture of my in my car at night in Japan, and one of me in my car at 3 am in Japan. Going for the whole theme, really.

The No Sleep box was a limited edition in Japan only. It may have been a distributor's initiative only (seeing how HDR re-releases the Official Bootleg to avoid crazy prices on ebay ), but it's now one of the hard to find objects for the hevydevy fans. It sometimes pops-up on ebay for 120$, while in Japan you may find it for a "normal" price (look here for a pic' http://page3.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/c122305880 ).
It has the album (of course) a t-shirt, some stickers and a different booklet or something. As Leechmaster said the album contains the 4 demos. The whole thing in a nice black box^^. (infos found here : http://devin.trivialbeing.net/syl/discog.php)

1) It'll cost me a bit to get down to Fukuoka, but I plan on going to Nagasaki and Hiroshima while down that far south. It won't be fun and games visiting those places, but I think I need to go see them, for historical context and because it will make real for me how vile and threatening man can be towards others and his own planet.

2) I am now on the hunt for the box set, but I really doubt I'll find it. If I do find it, and it isn't too expensive, I will make this promise: I will rip the CD and then, with Tracy and Dev's permission, I will send it to Tracy to be used as the prize for any future contests she holds from the newsletter.
I am not joking...I swear this on my name, Stoney Bair. That way, anyone on the board who gets the newsletter has a fighting chance to get it. Deal?
