Cool autumn means baking, and the rest of my fish was in the oven tonight. With the last of my mild chili to go with it.

RED (Orange & Green) HARVEST:

The orange bits, a short while later. CAUSTIC.

No really, caustic.
Being the total doof that I am - managed to:
    1. Scald my hand while sterilising the jars, and
    2. Spill some of this liquid demon on said scalded region.

I sang, I danced, I articulated vociferously. The neighbours ran for their lives.

That put a fun image into my mind. :D

Alas, my food today has been not so caustic. Just a couple of grilled cheese sammiches (with Jack cheese), and a hazelnut sandwich for breakfast.

That being said, you've put me in the mood, and I think my dinner could use some some of that jolokia paste I have in the fridge.
And since I recently bought fresh trout... :hothot:

The vapor that was emanating from this has the innate ability to

All of which (sauce notwithstanding) is enough to feed me for just over a week. 8)

Hmm, make your own hot sauce. I like that idea.

Still roasting up loads of tomatoes from the garden and turning it into sauce for pasta etc. Picked another 5kg of cherry tomatoes today.

Dinner was a rare(ish) vegetarian affair.

Fettucini with homemade tomato sauce, loads of garlic and dried chilli, broccoli, mushrooms, and went back out to the garden again for a load of baby zucchini (courgettes), basil and parsley. Topped with plenty of Parmesan. Nice.

My attempt at making purple hashbrowns. Basically, took a purple carrot, a red onion, and a royal blue potato, grated the carrot and potato and diced the onion, and fried them in olive oil (I am aware of how psuedo-gourmet I sound). Topped it off with chili sauce, although that stuff is actually medium heat, despite what the label says.
Ended up being pretty good. My girlfriend approved, after a bit of salt.
