is anyone on the forum going to be going to the winter olympics also if anyone has gone to one before as well.
my brother knows a few people in the area its being held and is asking me to use some vacation to go with him so need a little feedback if anyone has gone to one before.

I fucking despise the fucking Olympics in any fucking shape or form.

I would go, but obviously I'm rather far away so it isn't really feasible for me. I will be watching though, I quite like a lot of what the Winter Olympics has to offer. I'll be paying rapt attention to the ice hockey tournament, and will probably tune into a bit of the speed skating, luge, skeleton, bobsleigh, ski jumping and snowboarding as well if I get the chance to, but the 8 hour time difference will suck!

I'd say go along if you've got the interest in the events that are taking place, cos if you haven't really anything you'd really like to go along and see the whole trip could just turn out to be a big waste of time and money...

Watching the cake now, would've been awesome with Dev singing the national anthem in his opera way. Mmmm.

I wish! I will be glued to the hockey for the whole tournament though - go Canada!!!!!

Currently watching the Ski Jumping. I love the Winter Olympics. Roll on the Ice Hockey.

I prefer the winter events to the summer ones

Oh dear, I was really into the whole Canadian olympics, but how the Finnish team started out.. I am not that thrilled anymore
We had our official goal at 12 medals, but now like 10 of the events that were on that list, are gone.

I am so ashamed!

I have accepted our despicable fall, but unfortunately there are others who haven't.
I am here, at the bottom of the hole, waiting with my pillows and cushions for them.

It's not that bad, come on. The Finnish women's team gave the Russians a spanking, at least.

At least you're not obliged to support Slovakia. The Canadian Women's team kicked our asses 18-0.
