Fantastic film. I only saw it recently, but thought it was really good. Weird to think that the actual story is 50 or 60 years old.

The deviant art wallpapers are amazing....i just put one on my works computer. Its brightened things up quite a bit and cheered me up considering i have been here since 4.45am this morning

Yeah Metropolis is my favourite Anime next to Perfect Blue. At first i was thinking "the animation is like freaking tin-tin!". But then i never saw any Astro Boy and remembered that Japanimation has changed style int he last 50 years (well duh)

Is that a remake of Fritz Lang's Metropolis?

Im happy with the default XP backgrounds.

Otherwise- I use my own. I find that darker coloured and less-distracting BGs work the best.

I haven't seen Fritz Lang's Metropolis, but i know the general idea of it, and i don't think this is a remake. I say that because i know that the Anime film is based on an 50-odd year old manga story (hence the old style animation). BUT the plot does have some similarities, with a Ziggurat and such, so i think the origianl manga borrow a little from Fritz Lang.

So no, it isn't a remake, but it does have some similarites.
