Trees have a pretty long life cycle. Which is why we can't just cut all of them down. Because it has adverse effects to the ecosystem.
I'm not talking about a scientist, I'm talking about the the majority of scientists. The scientific consensus. And in the case of global warming it is the overwhelming majority, which makes it pretty clear cut, and I just think you should have some pretty strong evidence to go against that. At least with something with as potentially adverse effects as global warming.
And things do change, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try to counteract something that could potentially destroy something as rare as sentience if it's possible for us to do so. Which it is, because we are the ones creating that something.
