You have no clue Mr. Canadian! haha

You're really fucked there. Having VP candidate who is both MILF and a creationist is biggest dilemma ever. Society must be confused.

Creationism in my opinion is not an issue in picking a President or VP. It's more their take on the economy and other issues(You may or may not believe it, but the President does NOT have as much power as everyone thinks, Congress has more power.)

The MILF part...this is a good thing in my opinion!

It would be a lot better if the president/VP were chosen not based on their religion, because people would have to choose a candidate based on their stance on issues rather than what they believe. The issue here isn't that she believes in Creationism (although it is pretty unbelievable), it is that it becomes a big deal when she begins promoting the teaching of Creationism in public schools (which she is willing to do already). What happened to the separation of church and state? If you want to learn more about a certain religion or belief system, take a specific world religion class or do some personal research at the specific place of worship...don't force children into learning about something they or their parents don't want them to learn about.

As for the MILF thing...behind that barely feminine face and empty gaze lies the thoughts of fire and brimstone, pre-prepared lines from the practice sessions, and the image of John McCain's ass due to the fact that she has kissed it so much. No thanks...I'll take the babe-alicious Salma Hayek instead.

I dont choose who I want to represent me based on their beliefs. Thats why it's not a big deal to me. And I highly doubt she will "promote creationism" as is such a stereotype of Republicans. Let me take a quote from Joe Biden at the VP debate: "And may God bless America"

It's not one's beliefs but how they act upon them that is the measure of one's person.

I didn't say that you would choose a candidate based on their beliefs. Of course, if they believed that their idea of God was a sock puppet named Larry and it "tells" the candidate to eat toenails, it might be wise to not vote for that candidate based on their beliefs.

And here is an article on Palin supporting Creationism in science classes:
http://dwb.adn.com/news/politics/electi ... 3554c.html
(The link is actually from an Anchorage, Alaska newssite)

And that quote from Biden is supposed to mean what, exactly? That he believes in God, similar to McCain/Palin, and wishes for his God to watch out for Americans? That doesn't bother me. Biden and Obama are not the ones supporting schools to teach Creationism, ONE religion's specific view on how we came to be, alongside science. The teaching of religious beliefs in science classes of all things (not psychology, sociology, or religion discussion classes) is the real issue, not the fact that they indeed have a set religion.

Can't we keep Random Thoughs for random thoughs and Presidential Debates for presidential debates? That way it's easier to ignore for me ;)

Everything you said is understandable. I think the Separation of Church and State is important, in fact I think upholding the Constitution in general is very important. I wish a candidate would come out saying that we need to follow our Constitution and remember our Bill of Rights.
