Well, my grandmother passed away this morning. She had just had her 99th birthday on the 12th. We went up to spend the day with her yesterday. It's not a sad thing, really - I'm happy she's not in pain anymore. She was one tough cookie. She had lived through breast cancer twice, diabetes, you name it. She came down with pneumonia this weekend and never recovered, never regained consciousness. She had stated in her Living Will that she didn't want to be recessitated if something were to happen, so they just tried to keep her comfortable.

I loved my grandma.

Hugs to all of you!

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that :( My condolences to you. 99 is a good long time to have had though, despite the trials involved, and I'm sure you have many happy memories of her as part of your life.

Thank you, guyos. Feeling both happy and sad about it, I'm emotionally drained.

*yawn*

I'm gonna go home, watch TV, drink some wine and eat some chocolate. :) And think about Grandma Olive. 99...I can't even imagine.
