PT new album update

Writing for the next PT studio record is well underway, with the band recently spending 2 weeks secluded in the English countryside working on new tracks. Recording of these pieces and a new 35 minute SW song cycle is due to start in February, and tour plans are being put in place from September onwards following release of the new album. A London show is already announced for 9th October at Hammersmith Apollo, and there will be many more dates confirmed over the coming weeks, so please check the tour dates page for updates. You can also join the PT ticketing club to ensure that wherever possible you will be offered the best tickets for the shows (plus you get a free live CD). For information on how to join and details, click here.

Hell yeah. I can't wait - they haven't toured America in so long, I was beginning to worry they weren't going to come back  New tour + new CD, hooray!

Oh I don't think so. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the Tree was only picked up by Roadrunner in about 2005 or thereabouts. I could be wrong though. KScope/Snapper, Delerium, Roadrunner, I can't keep them all straight; they've been with a lot of labels.

I think We Lost the Skyline was released independently...and if I knew that show was happening I would have been there. PT played a show here and announced they were doing the live acoustic show the next day, if I knew this days ahead of time I would have been there(the whole being 2 hours away from home and finding something out like that dont make for a good time)

I forgot to mention that they recorded 2 shows for a DVD release. And personally I think Deadwing was pre-RR. Still a lot of releases in a couple years time!

And a new one next year. Steven Wilson is a music releasing machine. He put out all those albums last year and the year before and such, Insurgentes this year and a new PT album next year...

Pig butchering, when everything goes smoothly.

Had to work this morning which was a bad start, but now the roasting joints are in freezer and fridge, bacons and hams are in cures, sausage and salami meats and fats are cubed and awaiting mincing in the morning, heads, tails trotters and "variety meats" have been softened and ground up for brawn and hurky, bones and bits all roasted and simmering in stockpots. Greats slabs of skin and fat to be rendered down and turned into scratchings.

Awesome result in the circumstances. Go me. Also chimney man repaired chimney so now we have heat as well as pork.

Awesome day.

In an effort to prove Biert wrong, I just looked through mah CD's (   ) - apparently Fear of a Blank Planet was released under Atlantic? I swore it was Roadrunner... really though, I can't keep these things straight.

As you said Alucard, SW is a machine - kudos to him for being do driven and motivated. I just hope he doesn't burn himself out :| News of a new PT album and hopefully another tour just makes me so happy. I'm grinning like an idiot!!!

Yeah, I just hope he can keep it up. I saw in an youtube video that he said he wanted to get married this year. Then have children next year (like you can plan those things?) so if that happens, I'm afraid things might slow down a bit. But for now, dude is still going strong at 40 (doesn't look 40 does he? )

But they like that kind of thing in Britain!

Hell, 40 and going strong? The singer of Meshuggah is over 40 and still growling his fucking head off! Dude's a beast.
