The sheer reaction Dev got at Tuska.

"This is our last song today!"
"Nooo!"
"Life!"
"YAAAAAAAAY!"

I want that. xD

My favourite concerts were Pendulum, Massive Attack, Karpe Diem (Norwegian hiphop group), Empire of the Sun and Muse.

I can't really describe with words how fantastic Pendulum were. It was their first time in Norway and we gave them everything, they played a mix of old and new, it was a very unpredictable setlist really. The vocalist, bassist and I exchanged faces and fingers, loads of fun. And the vocalist jumped vertically like 3 meters, wtf. Massive Attack were one of the headliners and I can't use any other word than "majestic" to describe how they were on stage, I'll definitely try to see them live more in the future. Empire of the Sun was like an acid trip, they had 4 dancers who changed costume for every song, a background movie and just overall an amazing live atmosphere. Muse were also one of the headliners, I haven't really heard anything apart from the radio hit songs, but I was surprised when they came on stage and the music was heavy as hell! Matt Bellamy's guitarplaying impressed me, and he had one of those fun touchpad pickup things on his guitar that makes funny sounds.

Was anyone else thar?

I will say I'm a bit jealous...was the UFO part of the Muse gig? They did that at Rock am Ring, only saw youtube vids of it but that looked cool.

I watched their show at Glastonbury on telly last week and was hugely impressed. I can see why they are considered one of the best live bands. They can play brilliantly and the singer hits his notes with ease. Would have liked to have gone over to Kinross to see them play at T in the Park but that sold out long ago. However, on a still evening you can sometimes hear the music from that here. :P

It's a shame though that their music is less and less interesting IMO. Less epic and space-opera-ish, more mmh... more... twilight-ish ?

Of course a band has to evolve, but I can't find the atmosphere they had in some earlier songs (megalomania, citizen erased, showbiz...)
