Actually I have a SonyEricsson W810i walkman-phone (means it can play MP3s) but I have no idea if the MP3 player function is any good, and it only has 512MB memory (although that can be extended through ridiculously expensive Memory Sticks).

I don't want an alternative to the iPod, I want a decent MP3 player!
My previous phone was a Samsung and I wasn't very happy with it.
I think I'll just try out my phones MP3-player (the headphones that came with it fucking rock, best ear-buds ever!) and if it's shite I'll get me a real MP3 player, if it's good I'll get me a bigger memory stick.

I havent even had a decent MP3 player so far, so I couldnt tell you. iPods are the best, but are too expensive.

no radio tuner, nothing good on radio anyway
charges the batter trough usb, its tiny, and navigation is easy
and a voice recorder as well
about 100$ for 1gig
