I don't do this often but in defense of the yanks, they did! Our Rugby League team did a tour and played USA. The team consisted of a few NHL players who wanted to play a ballsy sport. They did alright and although Australia ended up winning, the yanks did quite well and were winning for a while.

I don't actually like football all that much, I just hate the word 'soccer'. Don't play any football games. Used to play a bit of rugby, but I was pretty bad at it.

I don't call it "soccer" anymore either. After becoming quite a devotee of the roundball game the past 20 years I've grown averse to the "S" word.

So now there is Football, Aussie Rules (or AFL), Rugbies League and Union in my sporting lexicon.
