Have you read "Johnny the Homicidal Maniac", perchance?

I have not... Should I be concerned?! :P

Not at all. The writer is the guy who wrote "Invader Zim". "squeeeeee!" just reminded me of JTHM/Invader Zim, is all. No need to fret.

Have you seen that proposal for a space colony that was submitted to a NASA contest by some high school kid? It's ridiculously detailed, but unfortunately I don't remember specifics...

No, I haven't. I've been looking at the moons of Jupiter and Saturn, as well as the poles of Mercury primarily.

This science is filled with guys who never lost their inner 8 year old's sense of adventure. I love it.

Yeah, it's all very cool. Before I got a little more down-to-earth (no pun intended) and realized what I actually wanted to do with my life, I was majoring in astrophysics just because it was so incredibly interesting. Jupiter's moons are ridiculously cool, I must say.

Given your attention to detail I'm quite glad you didn't go on to that NASA job building space colonies.

That daily squee blog/thing just doesn't do it for me. I only ever found kittens, lambs and baby rabbits squee-worthy. But puppies? Nah.

My brain cannot comprehend that. But it also doesn't comprehend "squeeeeing" (enough e's? too many?). I'm just not a squeeeer. I'm an "awwwwwwwer".
