That's your email inbox, right, not some mobile FB app or something? If it's the first, I recommend going to the notification settings and turn off a lot of stuff. By default, FB wanted to send email notifications for practically everything.

It's my email inbox indeed. I thought I turned off most of it, but I suppose I'll revisit it because knowing facebook they probably changed a bunch of settings without telling anyone. Thanks for the tip.

I haven't shaven my head since I lost my last job. I generally feel it enough to go over my face for interviews, however I'm now starting to get cowlicks. Looks like I might have to get motivated.

It never ceases to astound me just how stupid people get on public transport after midnight. I don't want to guess what substances (if any) they've taken.

Hey guys can you help me out a bit? I recently got a new roommate and apparently he doesn't shower. He's lived here for over a week and I've never heard him use the shower. Our kitchen and bathroom stink like the nastiest, most piercing sweat ever. Even hours after he's left those rooms.

So. How do I tell him to start respecting other forms of life and start showering while not pissing him off so much that he stops doing his part of the chores?

"Get in the fucking shower, you're stinking up the house and I'm not having it. This isn't a zoo and you're not an exhibit."

Yeah that might be better. My diplomacy skills have diminished.

I just asked him. He reacted just as I expected. "Well do you think it's maybe your dishes that you haven't done all yet and wah waa!" etc, etc. Well incase you hadn't noticed it yet BOTH MY FUCKING HANDS HAVE BEEN BROKEN AND MY LEFT WRIST STILL IS YOU LAZY IDIOT SO FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE! PLEEEASE START SHOWERING LIKE A HUMAN BEING! I do what I can and no, it's not the dishes, if I'm not mistaken I didn't cook sweat yesterday.

Now let's see if he can make it a habit. Fingers crossed.

edit: and now blasting the shittiest music ever unnecessarily loud. Sigh... This is going to be fun...

Not to press the issue, but that's why living by yourself is a better option. Sure it's expensive and sometimes it can be rather lonely. Then you remember that housemates can be absolute shitheads and you realize loneliness and frugality aren't so bad.
At least that's just my viewpoint.

Frugality can be quite the hobby.

I hate it when I buy a shirt for a band I like and the fucking seams unravel more and more after every goddamn use and wash. Is it so much to ask for decent craftsmanship? No wonder I see so many dudes who cut their shirts apart.
I often wonder if I should also save the loose string to try and sew it back on, except I can't sew, plus I also don't know if it'll do any damn good.

What's the brand? That's most odd, I've got knock off band shirts from when I was like 11 that cost a fiver that are still intact, let alone the official ones. The only shirts I own that disintegrate seem to be the super expensive designer ones that were either given to me or bought dirty cheap as surplus stock. All Saints make fantastic clothes, but not

It seems to be the Gildan shirts that cause the most trouble. They're also the most common who produce the band shirts, down here anyway.

Different note, one of my sisters has two greyhounds and I've noticed the newer one (a boy) is a major attention whore and becomes extremely jealous or needy if you so much as take your eyes off him for more than two seconds, whereas the one she's had longer (a girl) is more like a cat by comparison, enjoying pets and treats when she gets them but otherwise just lounges around, enjoying her bed.
Yeah, dogs.

Gildan are actually pretty decent, what the hell are you washing them in?!
