I think you summed it up pretty well babe. He's actually a little bit mad, I thought it was just part of the act but he's actually rather bonkers. Like, I thought Dev was a little nutty but he completely pales in comparison to a lad who has an anxiety attack if he doesn't think his cat is happy enough. It's definitely endearing though, maybe it makes me feel a bit less weird? Maybe that's why all my close friends are total nutbars so I look like the sound one?

Got to ask Tom Skerritt a question at the Alien Q&A tonight (Veronica Cartwright was meant to come but wasn't able to).

It was regarding the cocoon scene that was cut out of the original version and reinserted for the director's cut, and his thoughts on these. His reaction was a nonchalant shrug at the original deletion, understanding pacing and creative decisions. However, he then said he hasn't seen the director's cut, and he guessed the scene probably slows the movie down. Everyone laughed, myself included.
I did have a surprise prior to asking when somebody with the same name as me inquired about the same scene, but apropos to working with Giger and his involvement. Probably a good thing I asked mine after as it made that casual shrug even funnier.

Being an audience Q&A things did get weird when a girl asked him if she could touch his mustache. He was taken aback by this and asked if that was local slang for something. When she assured him she meant what she said, he smiled and declined.

So Dev met my mum. He worries about her all the time because of me.

Also Theodore is about 80% of Olive's size so I kinda doubt that'll happen.

I'm having one of those days where I'd almost welcome a safe randomly falling on my head.
First I'm late for work, then I leave a cafe where I go to buy lunch (as I forgot mine) and forget to pay for the meal, which means I'll have to stop by there first thing tomorrow.
There's the daily drama with the letter folding machine sporadically jamming; I swear it was designed by trolls. Then I come home and find my neighbor sitting outside and suicidally depressed. I tried to help her and probably botched up whatever I was attempting to say (I know I could have walked past and ignored her but I felt like being nice).
And now I've done my taxes online and have probably screwed those up despite calling the tax office and following instructions to the letter.

Or maybe I'm just loaded with whiny first world problems and should just fuck off.
