We've been working through the sports documentaries on Netflix

Hoop Dreams
I'd never heard of this before, despite it being apparently very famous. It felt like it came from a slightly simpler time, before all of the overly scripted documentaries we have these days. Really enjoyed it.

Schooled
All about the NCAA, and player payments. It was OK, but my east favourite of the theee we've watched recently

The Crash Reel
Wow! Really enjoyed this one, really bought provoking and beautifully done :)

This I've been wondering for quite a while: why can't you have file types associated to two (or more) programs at once? Double-click opens file in one program, shift+Double-click in another, etc. Couldn't be that hard to do. But no, you have to right-click, go to "open with," and select the program you want to use.
Or could there already be third-party programs that bring such functionality...? :?

Don't you hate it when you feel like you have so many clever things to say, yet you can't bring yourself to mention them because they seem pointless once written, leaving you asking a rhetorical question?

Just write them. The thread isn't called "random" for nothing. In here we are not limited by such silly and needless things as context :D

Ironically, that was my random thought.

Something different, the artwork for the new Triptykon album is total eyegasm material.

So my best friend is taking an electronic music class at MCC, and his teacher was talking about song structures and the differences between analog and midi and lots of other jargon I as an ignorant music listener don't know about. Anyway. The cool part of this story is one of the songs the teacher played for the class was Juular! The teacher asked if anyone in class knew who Devin was, and my friend was the only one, because of me. I thought that was pretty awesome.

A photo of a child predator seems inappropriate and random enough to go here.
