Hooray, I have a housing inspection next week! That gives me all the reason I need to pull my finger out and tidy up the place.

Knowing me, it'll be clean for a week before returning to a foul bachelor pad.

Late entries for people to get rid of:

People who get in line at the checkouts, realise they forgot a few items, so they go off and shop for a few minutes without telling anyone, then come back and get angry when I don't stand there mute while they cut in line.

People who either tailgate OR stay in the overtaking lane at low speeds when it's illegal to do so.

People who email, then call an hour later to ask why they haven't received a reply.

People who don't pay taxes, then complain about not getting enough money from the government simply because they couldn't keep their legs crossed.

People wearing double camo when they aren't hunting.

Oh yeah, also rapists, murderers, pedophiles, abusive people generally, and people who think the word "certainly" is a good replacement for saying "um".

Despite cleaning my flat to look respectable for tomorrow's inspection, I've noticed I still have work to do. Need to mop my kitchen floor, wipe down the stove, dust a couple of tables, vacuum my bedroom, clean around my bathtub and mirrors and maybe give my toilet another whitening.

Apparently the recent tornado in Oklahoma was an EF5. Kinda figured it would be, considering the news reports stating how wide it was.
Hope the people affected can recover soon.

I'm so tired. So very tired.

Penn Jillette is cool. He has his flaws for sure, but I find him interesting and entertaining.

I'm going to sleep now.

Feels good to have a hot cup of Earl Grey tea on a chill autumn night. Especially after a leisurely (near hour-long) stroll around the neighborhood.

Another entry to the people list:

People who can't add proper CD tag info to CDDB.
You know, those folks who type in ALL CAPS to artist and album fields. Those put the name of the artist in track titles (okay, this isfine for collections w/ multiple artists, otherwise just NO). Those who don't type in the original release year if it's a re-release. Those who like include every single bit of superfluous information in the album title field (e.g. "Japanese 2002 mega-

There's a storm rolling over my area right now.

The lightning must have struck close by, because twice now I've heard (and felt) the thunder right above my ceiling.

It's moving away now, but it's still pretty loud. Fitting for the last night of autumn.

went shopping and figured I'd just walk to the grocery shop and back again. When I got home I was soaked. Gotta love this weather! It's been raining almost non-stop for several days now. Lovely!

Ki is such a wonderful production. I've not listened to it in a while and realized again today how good it sounds.
Also how wonderfully warm it is in contrast to the chilly Addicted. I love it.

Lived on a farm in the middle of nowhere for half of my childhood, never once saw a fox. Move to the city and the first one I've ever seen strolls past me in the street like it's nothing, now two foxes live in my back garden. This is awesome.
