Despite having an atheist mother and a er, Masonic dad...I was raised a Catholic (to get me into a better school) then one day I turned to my mum and told her I'd rather go to ceramics class on a Sunday morning. Give ceramics a go.

Nice. See, I love being Catholic, but sometimes the dogma and the way other Catholics twist it just really get to me. Got into a very heated discussion with a conservative Catholic friend on Facebook today, and just left me feeling sour. All the good I see and take from it outweighs the bad for me, but sometimes... the bad stuff wears.

Went swimming for the first time in maybe seven years today.
Did a cannonball into nine feet of water, and the top of my left foot impacted with the concrete below. That happened about 6 hours ago. Wasn't so bad at first, but now it aches every time I walk.
Hooray for me.

Way to ease yourself back into swimming with a nice, gentle 9FT CANNONBALL!? I hope the damage is minimal.

Saw a freaking gruesome video on Tosh.0 last night of a kid slicing his leg open after jumping his bike into a canal. Makes me shudder still when I think about it.

Oh, and happy birthday Steph!

Ah, families. Sometimes you love them, other times you wish they were all teleported to another dimension and never heard from again.
