Tomato pesto for sauce base
Antipasto (marinated mix of olives, artichoke, sun-dried tomatoes and grilled eggplant)
Vegetarian bacon (meat eaters may substitute with real bacon)
Mozzarella
Drizzle of chili sauce
And that was my dinner for tonight (and tomorrow - bought enough for two).
sounds like an epic tastegasm. Now I want pizza. But I just had a huge one a few days ago and them hips don't forgive too many eating sins!
Toppings are toppings... the biggest challenge with homemade pizza is how to make the base/bottom/dough/bready thing. I used to make them superthick but I'm getting better at making them thin and crispy. For full effect I guess I should get one of those pizzastones for the oven
Yeah, I usually just buy them at the store, too lazy to make them myself. Un-sauced of course, and the ones I buy are just the right thickness (mid-level). I tend to keep them in the oven at 200 for 15-20 minutes for perfect crispiness.
