September and October are approaching, and that means two of my favorite things are approaching as well: beer/wine festivals (emphasis on the beer, namely Octoberfest and Pumpkin Ale styles) and green mo fuckin chile time. Quite excited, if I may say.

Heard Beatles' "A Day In The Life" on the radio some time ago and the intrusive /r/ started to bug me. Namely the inconsistency of it. First "I saw the photograph," then "I saw-r a film today." Why? :?

BRITS ARE WHY! This used to bug me but then I just accepted it. Like I accepted that not everyone smells as nice as me.

Sometimes working a Saturday is fine because I can go at a slower pace, but it can also be annoying because I have to wait until Monday to resolve something. Oh well.

Hit a brick wall with the polycarve, decided to teach myself how to use ZBrush finally to mock it up in digital 3D. The lengths I go to for this geezer...

Today, 1:48 pm:
I start to get my rain gear on, because I'm going to work by bike and it's raining like in the shower.

1:57 pm:
Only the shoes to put on, I start to gear up my bike because it's still raining like hell.
Also a bit sweaty already, mind you I'm still indoors.

2:01 pm:
Getting ready to kiss the man bye-bye, and I happen to look outside.
Sweating in my rain proof gear, I witness the prettiest sunshine ever.

2:09 pm:
After ranting and being generally mad at the weather maker, I huffle and puffle myself and the bike
in the elevator, out the doors and put on my gloves and wipe sweat from my face.
I gaze to the sky, seeing aaallll the rain clouds disappearing, leaving me with burning hotness.
Despite this being a bad idea, I lock my shoes to pedals and head to work.

2:46 pm:
Arrive at work, dry on the outside, smelly and sweaty on the inside.
Well, now I know my rain proofness works in two ways!

And then I got so hungry, I ate already everything I brought with me. And I still have 2,5 hours to go.
So, guess who's hungry?

I had that the other way around a few weeks ago. Dry and sunny when I stepped on my bike at home, dry and sunny when I stepped off my bike at my destination, a fucking monsoon in between.

My little sister made me laugh when she said her favorite movie is The Rocky Horror Picture Show (which I knew), but the movie she hates most is the sequel Shock Treatment. A proud moment.

I spent two weeks housesitting solo (not a SWTORism) in Utrecht. Some immense times (eg. the Day of Many Balls in Breda) and some not so immense times (Salt Water Cleanse is not always a good idea if you've got a slow metabolism). Despite some nasty attacks from the anxiety beast, and occasional bouts of loneliness, I still really wish I could start the whole time over again, right now.

'Course, this may have more to do with the two stacks of 8/9 day shifts in a row I start tomorrow than anything else...

Patch of the city center was closed couple of days ago due to some WW2 era dud found during the building of a new subway line. Today I found out it was a ~2 ton shell from that huge Karl siege mortar used by ze nazis during the Warsaw uprising. They were kinda determined to fuck shit up.

There's quite famous (locally) photo of the building on the same street being hit by that thing

Kinda interesting, if scary stuff. The building was pretty much a skeleton after the war but it was rebuilt.

Something similar happened in Munich yesterday.

Construction workers found a 550 pound bomb left over from World War II in one of their sites. They decided to detonate the bomb instead of removing it, evacuating nearly 3000 people before doing so.
