Outrageous Fortune? Maybe? I have nobody to talk to about that show... It's one of my top three favourite TV shows ever but it's from NZ so no-one ever knows what I'm on about. Tis very annoying, so tis!

Never heard of it! Just looked it up and their website has this poll:

In the future, Cheryl will:
Become a lesbian
Turn Hoochie Mama into a global fashion success
Move to the Gold Coast
Somehow find Wolf and start all this all over again
Get drunk and accidently hook up with Eric
Find herself a toyboy.

Hahahahaaaaa! The best thing is all of that makes perfect sense to me having seen the show.

Yeah, I live with a buddy of mine who's from Auckland and he had it all on his external hard-drive and my and my girlfriend hoofed through it once we got started. Great show altogether!

Hey, anesthesia is fun. You can poke or pinch yourself all you want and not feel it for a few hours :D

On another note, does it ever surprise you how much your tastes have changed? For me, musically it's just struck me how much I've changed. Case in point, Metalsucks just put up the new Arch Enemy video and, while I still find them good, they used to be my favorite band. Now, while the music is still good, I just find it kind of tired and a bit, I don't know, usual I guess, in comparison to what I listen to now (Dev, Baroness, Isis, Russian Circles, Red Sparowes, Neurosis, etc). Arch Enemy even came through a few weeks back and a few years ago I would have killed to go to the show but it wasn't even a blip on my radar now. Same thing with Lacuna Coil, they came through on Sunday and a few years ago I saw them like 6 or 7 times in 3 years but I didn't even think twice about not going. I dunno, just weird. It's just a random realization I had :D

Oh yeah, I used to be all about the Swedish melodeath. Now it's kind of a once every couple of months kind of thing. I think I still really dig Soilwork, and I will always love The Hours That Remain by Mercenary, but In Flames was my favorite band 10 years ago.

Shit changes. I still love classic heavy metal, always liked Dev, grew to love him about 7 years ago, some death metal, thrash (I'm from the Bay Area, lol) but in general my biggest growth has been into things that just aren't heavy at all.

Oh yeah. Just come back from a charity fundraiser do thing (full of Z-List celebs I couldn't recognise, catwalk shit etc. but free booze!) and my friend organizing it, her bloke (who I spent the entire evening sitting with on our todd) happens to be the vocalist of a band I was batshit obsessed with 10 years ago. Now, I know full well they've just finished recording two albums, I didn't even attempt to ask to hear it. I'm really not that fussed now. 14 year old Violet would be stabbing me in the face right about now.
