How to make your significant other hate you: After spending your 4 day Easter holiday from work at their place, as you're leaving say "I've got all I need, if I've left anything it'll be something unimportant and I'll get it on Friday" then get a lift home from your other half. When you get there, realise you've left you're mobile phone (which you need to book on for work at 5am the following morning) at theirs and then they have to drive another 50mile round trip to fetch it to you, when they also have work at 9am.

Thank you all for the kind thoughts on this momentous day when I have become Methuselah's older sister.

Kids (well my daughter really, the boy doesn't do shopping ) got me a lovely blue velvet hoodie which I will wear today when my mother treats me to lunch (then I have to take her shopping around various supermarkets - pfft.) Also got two classic rom-com DVDs which we may watch later whilst consuming copious quantities of chocolate.
