KPI's are a bitch when you cannot meet them due to processes entirely out of your hands. Especially when said processes are quite arbitrary.

How to make your significant other hate you: After spending your 4 day Easter holiday from work at their place, as you're leaving say "I've got all I need, if I've left anything it'll be something unimportant and I'll get it on Friday" then get a lift home from your other half. When you get there, realise you've left you're mobile phone (which you need to book on for work at 5am the following morning) at theirs and then they have to drive another 50mile round trip to fetch it to you, when they also have work at 9am.
