I got the best present ever last night! I've only lived in this city just over two months and I was going to go with two friends to check out some pubs n stuff. One of them lives quite a ways away and by the time he got here it was pretty late, then just after he got here, he said he had to go pick up something he left at his friend's place. I was a liiiiiittle annoyed at this point coz he said it'd take awhile and I wanted to go to a place that shuts pretty early. Anyways, when he got back he texted me, asking to come down and open the front door for him. When I did, he wasn't standing there, but my best friend was! My friend flew her here for me, and we went out and had a dandy time! I felt pretty special after that.

I just got home from shooting the music vid for Ted Maul (ex-Akercoke guitarist's new band), it was fucking gnarly!!!! We were outside from 7am till 8pm today and yesterday, and it was WINDY. When we wern't outside we were in concrete tunnels that were just as cold and really clever Violet went down in shorts and a hoodie. There was no electricity or light pollution for miles so when it got dark....it was dark. Taking generators and loudspeakers up concrete stairs when you're pretty much blind save for a shitty little torch...EEEK! Also our hotel was opposite a stripclub so we got no sleep for all the pounding music Still though, we got a fucking cracking job done, rough edit expected in about 10 days max, then after that the lads will decide when they want to release it and I'll shove it all down your faces! Highlights of the weekend were Tamzin getting told off by a farmer after she told his barking dog to fuck off, Jay (vocalist) managing to get into the attic of mine and Tamzin's hotel room (then putting toothpaste all over our taps while we slept...), rewriting Metallica songs on the spot to express our thoughts (ie. "I really want a cup of tea, where the FUCK'S my cup of tea? CUPOFTEA....CUP OF TEA!"), making friends with an absolutely supurb director, all of us eating more Monster Munch and Haribo than would be medically recommended, Tamz and I following Nicky (bassist) quietly into a pitch black (apparently haunted) tunnel and proceeding to squeal our faces off...lololololololol.
As I type I got Tamzin zonked out in the spare room with half a mug of hot chocolate down herself...I best follow suit
