new year's isn't really a thing to me. it's just another day. however, i always feel compelled to be listening to "the right song" at midnight and if i'm at a party or something, i have to run away and put my headphones on for it. i'm usually doing something dumb like sitting on the bus or making a beer run for other people since i don't care though. HAHA.

kind of an ominous start to the year if you're going to be superstitious, but i think this will be a good year for me.

My New Year's Eve was pretty fun-- it's my first of legal drinking age so I went with my parents whom I'm still staying with for the next couple days to a local brewery. Usually it's a pretty quiet place but last night they had live music and everyone was trashed. The head brewer was hanging out, this English guy from South Africa, and he was drunk as all hell and hilarious. Everyone was so drunk that someone started the countdown about 4 seconds too early so everyone's cheering and the clocks still ticking down lol.

Fun night, and dug ringing in the new year with a craft brew. Also was interesting seeing my parents plastered...
