I was semi-conscious; having been roused by a few thunderclaps in the middle distance.
Then suddenly, it was like looking at the Sun...except my eyes were closed.
And a noise like Shiva just s(h)at on my roof.
I think I left the bed in a horizontal position and, upon stuffing my ventricles back up my anus...set about checking the house.
Thankfully the only casualties were my microwave and router.
Oh, and my bedsheets of course.
