And hey, I found out why some of the people I try to kill came back to life.
They were
Spoiler: show
zombies

I so much like that game!
When I pick up the controller and think "oh, this is just for about an hour, then I'll do the laundry, cook something" etc, you can guess what happens.
Yesterday I was supposed to do the one mission, then quit, but noooooo way!
Ended up playing like four hours, ended up being too scared to continue.
My hands were so shaky, I even couldn't kill few normal guys near one of the metro stations, and decided it was enough.

Spoiler: show
The Hills is the most frightening place in the game, I don't think I have eve screamed as much playing a game ..

I have fond memories of my friend's copy of The Darkness. Want to get a copy of that and the sequel eventually. You've played them both - is the second one on par with the first, do you think?

Well, certainly the controls and graphics have improved, though they are far from perfect but I could handle both without mumbling.
I am a bit fangirlish to comment on this, but I enjoyed the second part as much as the first.
Story continued nicely, was addictive and enjoyable.
On par with the first? I think so, I feel the story needs to have a proper ending in proper style

I'd give it 8,5 / 10.
Controls are still goofy, but I could live with it easily 8)

yeah I guess I should finally play and finish that game too. I played it for 8 hours. Quit. Waited for months. Started all over again. Again for only 8 hours and then I quit again. Christ, GTA V will be out before I finally managed to finish GTA IV.

It does take a little bit to get going alright... Some of the missions, particularly on the middle island, are fucking brilliant though. I had the subtitles switched on when I started as the default and couldn't remember why but knew there was a reason. Then Little Jacob came on and all was clear to me!

How true. :D I had to play it a second time to get 100% achievement (ended up with like 97% the first time), but it was worth it! Picked up on things I missed the first time.

So, missed the Labor Day easter egg for Calendar Man in Arkham City, but as I haven't truly begun that achievement yet, I can wait for Halloween. They really knew how to give that game longevity. :P

I read that you can change the date on your Xbox to get through that achievement on the same day. Haven't tried it myself though, too much effort. :P

Besides, that would take up valuable Skyrim time.

I have a PS3. I might be able to do the same thing, but... yeah, too much effort. I'd rather just wait an entire year. :P

yeah, that's the reason why I never got that achievement. Too much effort to change the time over and over again!

also, I'm kind of in the mood to replay all Mass Effect games again with an all new character. I might do that soon. I still haven't played Skyrim for more than 8 hours but I somehow am not in the mood for that game at all. :|

I still haven't played Skyrim either... Just haven't been in the right headspace to let myself get lost in it all year. Sometime soon, hopefully! After I get over this GTA binge...

that's basically what keeps me away from Skyrim. Once you started to play it you gotta stick with it for god knows how many hours. Or you'll be lost and can start from scratch again.

Its just an enormous commitment when you have a girlfriend and a job and a crippling love of alcohol and narcotics. Playing the Fallout games were fine cos I was only bunking off college and who the fuck needs that anyway? :P

I actually put Fallout NV on hold because that became a bit of a chore. So far around 90 hours into Skyrim and I'm still losing track of time in the evenings.

I did three playthroughs of New Vegas... 120-ish hours each. Utterly fucking mental now that I look back. Dunno where the hell I found the time for it!
