My first thought when reading that was the crisp...there is no way a story of having a crisp since Thursday can end well

Fundraiser for the film was super succesful. It's not reflected in the kickstarter total yet, but we're at 2500/3000 with 5 days to go, and the director's family still not really having been involved.

:D o/

I'M OFF TO THE NETHERLANDS TOMORROW!

Okay, so I'll mostly catching up on a load of writing and walking the dog (not a euphemism), but I've been looking forward to a change of scenery, and I'll get to catch up with a couple of friends besides. Also, in the second week I'll be studying under with someone whose work I admire. Good stuff!

Did some soldering, was so good you can't even see the join. I'm such a boss. Now I have to go teach someone how to do it over the internet.

I think someone already made that film. Or am I thinking of the Happy Mondays second album?

I GOTS A JERB! A big kid job, at Ghost Ranch where I worked over the summer. This opens up TONS of doors, and will hopefully help out for many things I've been saving for.

Excited.

Awesome news, Sean. Not everyone gets to work at a place they love the way you clearly love Ghost Ranch. Very happy for you mate.

I've had some goodness in my life recently too:

Leaving my stinky job to go back to my old employer (who I never wanted to leave) with a promotion to boot. Yee haw!

We got our son into a brand new, rather flash day care centre that's literally across the road from where my wife and I will now both be working, with visits at any time we like.

It's also my birthday, which this time around means slow cooked lamb shanks, chocolate cheesecake and playing video games like the adolescent I will always be.

Oh, and spring has shown its first signs of turning up - blossoms are starting to bloom and the weather is (temporarily) warming up.

Life can be quite kind sometimes.
