The Olympic torch relay went through my town earlier and I got paid to finish my actual work an hour earlier to steward/watch the convoy go through. Home by 9am? Winner.

I sent my 4 year old niece a little cow eraser purely cos I knew shed get a kick out of getting something in the post as she can read her name now. She just phoned me and said "thank you for my cow auntie Christine, she's very mooey! I love you auntie Christine" then ran off and I could hear her making excited moo sounds while my sister told me how much it made her day. I've got such a big grin on my face right now

Last Tuesday I got to see my favourite singer-songwriter, Jack Savoretti, live and followed that up with seeing the best live show I think I will ever see when I saw my favourite band, The Low Anthem, in Galway. Now this week I've got myself tickets to see Bon Iver, The Civil Wars, Ben Howard and Frightened Rabbit over the space of a few weeks in the autumn, and next week I'm going on holidays. Add to this the fact that I'm living with Prexy for the first time in our nigh-on 7 year relationship, and this summer and the rest of the year just kicks an inordinate amount of ass.
