I wholeheartedly agree. I guess most people were bitching about the game not beeing 'RPG' enough. It seems like there will be more RPG elements in ME3 again, sort of a balance between ME1 and ME2 and I bet there's gonna be a ton of people that still won't be satisfied.

Dude, I'm the most RPG oriented non-shootery kind of gamer around (Mega Man for NES notwithstanding). The game was fucking fun to play, and it's recently become "cool" to hate on it, call it linear, etc. I'm fucking sick of the alpha nerd pack mentality in general and this just reeks of it.

No, the over-arching plot isn't quite as good as the first Mass Effect. How could it be? You're no longer being introduced to a galaxy. But I just played both straight through after having not played either, and I gotta say, 2 is the better game.

You only get 6 squadmates in 3. One of them is Freddie Prinze Jr. playing yet another generic space marine. That bothers me.

Arkham Asylum is extremely awesome. I'm no Batman fan at all and downloaded the demo when it came out because I was bored. So I played the demo. Played it again. Played it again, and again, etc. It's a VERY good game, definitely one of my favourites.
I'd say it's a little over 10 hours, yea. (14 seems fine)
I remember that I completed it in about a weekend, then traded it in for Fallout 3 because people told me that was very good as well. I really regretted that for quite a while. I didn't really like Fallout and had yet to complete a lot of Riddler challenges etc.
Some time later a Batman AA GOTY version was announced, so I got that and completed it a second time (this time in 3D - The GOTY version comes with 3D glasses and you don't need a fancy 3DTV. On PS3, at least).

All in all I love Batman Arkham Asylum and recommend it to anyone. Hope that helps.

In any case I gotta get my ass in gear and play ME2 before ME3 comes out. ME blew my noggin hole.

SO MANY GAMES.

Just so you know, I think The Arrival's the weakest of the add-ons. Still fun and worth playing, but Lair of the Shadow Broker is the apex.

I got that because it promised continued Liara-diddling. It seems the male Shepard I created is a loyal cunt.

Also, I just discovered I missed about half of the Portal 2 achievements in my (single player) playthrough. I'd better rectify that.

but the Arrival actually influences the story of ME3 so I think that makes it worth the purchase, even if Lair of the Shadow Broker is the better DLC. I still need to play ALL the DLC with my main Shepard that I used since ME1 before ME3 is out. I think I only played the DLCs with another Shepard so far.

Well, it's certainly an event that leads into ME3, but I don't think there are any real choices that change anything.

I've heard from others that Arrival is amazing. And the other add-ons I already have because the PS3 version comes with them (or at least a code to download them).

The Arrival's cool and worth playing... I just give it a B- where most of the DLC was B+, except for Shadow Broker which was an A.

It's basically a murderfest that tells you more about the story, but doesn't give you much in the way of choice.

Hmm, very well, I'll see for myself then. I've looked into it just now to see what some gaming sites think of it - Gamespot gives it a 5.0. That's actually way lower than I was expecting. I think 7.5 is pretty low already for ME.

Other than that, do you remember how long it is?
