I have played the first two Ass Creeds and liked those. I've also played the Mafia II demo and liked that.
As for L.A. Noire getting repetitive, I completed the first Ass Creed twice, with all side objectives (like save the villager, pickpockets, etc.). I don't mind repetitiveness.. repetitivity.. repe- fuck it, you know what I mean. :)

It really hinders L.A. Noire though. There just isn't enough variation across the crimes you're forced to solve and the process just gets extremely tedious, not to mention the fact that it has no replay value whatsoever. They built an amazing world and the facial technology they used was incredible but the story and the gameplay really let that game down. It just felt rushed, which is pretty terrible when you consider it was in development for like 8 years or something... If you've played the first two AssCreed's and liked them then I would definitely say go for Brotherhood.

well, I like the AC games but had an overdose about 2 years ago when I played AC1 and AC2 back to back. I think Ubisoft is shitting these games out way too quickly. It's seems like it's always more of the same. I hope they totally change the setting for AC3.

I agree regarding L.A. Noire. Things get VERY, VERY repetitive VERY quickly. You do the same thing over and over again. Search for clues, interrogate, shoot the bad guys. The story was very disappointing too and the worst part is that you don't give a shit about the game's protagonist. Sure, technically it's amazing but that ain't worth shit when they didn't put enough work into what makes a game great.

Now Mafia II might not be the most amazing game technically but at least it had a decent story in my opinion. Sure the open world is not very interesting and you can't do much besides robbing shops. But hey, that is more than what you can do in L.A. Noire because in that game you can't do anything in its open world. You can fuck shit up and just go on a rampage for fun in Mafia II. I just enjoyed the atmosphere in Mafia II a lot more. And there's a shitload of great 40's and 50's music in that game too. Oh and there's also some funny shit happening in the game so there's also much more entertainment.

Mafia 2's a pile of bull and if you want the full story, PM me sometime.

not a fan of 2K much at all.

I'm thinking of getting Arkham Asylum as my next purchase. For those who have given it a proper playthrough, how many hours of my life will I be obsessing over this (as I want to get City afterwards)?

nah, Arkham Asylum's much shorter unless you go for all the riddler challenge stuff. Arkham City on the other hand can indeed take you that long to beat.

oh same here. I was pissed because they cut out a lot of stuff just to sell it as DLC in the end (didn't buy any of it). That's why the game world is so freaking empty and there's nothing to do. That doesn't change the fact that it entertained me better than L.A. Noire did. In that game it was just do this and that, then do the same stuff again...and again...and again. And awesome facial animations don't change that. They didn't really make much sense anyways. The guy you're questioning looks to the right so he's lying and if he looks you in the eyes then he's telling the truth, that was the formula for each frigging interrogation. If I want to see awesome facial expressions then I watch an actual movie. But I expected a great game.

sounds about right. But you'll want to replay it anyways because it's awesome! Same goes for Arkham City.

I think I haven't played any games for about a month now. Just not in the mood right now apparently. But in March that will change. I hope to put 150 hours into Mass Effect 3 :D

Yeah, I finally beat ME 2. I don't get why anyone talks down about that game or the final boss. It's effing creepy.
