Be careful, a similar thing happened to me some years ago and I have tinnitus ever since.
I got a strong cold just the day of the show, wasn't really aware earplugs were kind of necessary (I was only used to outdoor festival), and learned a week later, when checking in for the tinnitus problem, that I in fact had some kind of painless otitis, but which probably affected my ears anyway (my bro' was in front of me and didn't had any problem...).

So yeah, just be very careful, better miss the show than mess up your ears. Hopefully it'll be fine by then.

Thanks for the advice, guys. Hopefully it'll be all cleared up by then, but I'll keep a box of earplugs on standby, just in case.

Set of earplugs, antibiotics and you'll be fine. Me and the Codiez have fucking ghastly inner ears that are prone to it all the time (my right eardrum went BOOM in my sleep last year and woke me up....WORST. PAIN. EVER.), and I have in the past, had red trickle out...hearing's fine though (some sounds are sometimes uncomfortably loud), I just NEVER FORGET THE EARPLUGS!!!! And neither should anyone else!

Not to get into too much detail or owt, but chronic otitis externa is also pretty shit.
I can't even get my sodding ears wet.

Ever feel like your significant other is just looking for reasons to fight? Why do this? We've just moved into a place together. Fuck. It's so annoying.

Aw jesus Dave... and that was years before you became an old man! :P

Keeping in the un-awesome health category, my throat is trying to kill me these past few days. I am prone to uvulitis and have had problems with my throat totally closing up in the past as well so I'm sliiiiiiightly worried about where this might end up if it persists. I haven't been sick in feckin' years so it's typical that it'd happen right before I fly out for a bloody holiday.

I need to be up in 3 hours, but I mistakenly planned to work all night, so I downed a techart coffee at about 11pm. This is basically how the majority of the students on the Technical Arts course at my uni finished their work on time and consists of half a cup of instant coffee granules, bunch of sugar and a bit of hot water. You could probably eat it with a fork.

Dunno, need to sort some things out. I think a move will occur sometime next year.

Just had a bad nights' sleep... with tinnitus. Yup. Turns out the germamicin ear drops the doctor gave me have permanent hearing loss and tinnitus as side effects. It would have been nice of him to tell me that. The ringing's gone this morning, so hopefully it won't happen again now that I'm not using the drops. Fingers crossed the antibiotics can clear my blocked ear before Devy next week!

You can request to not have eardrops, I can't have them because they make me pass out. But I have to tell the doctor every time!

Strathearn's more peaceful, relaxing and awesomely scenic though. :D

Ears: I'm prone to inner ear problems every few years. Have had a few bouts of labyrinthitis over the past 20 years which means dizziness, loss of balance and occasional tinnitus. This cold I have seems to have a viral component that's attacking the old semi-circular canals again yesterday and today. Daughter now has it too. It'll sort itself out in a day or two I expect. We'll just sit here with boxes of tissues, a jar of Vick and watch cartoons and movies all day. :P It's a bit tragic that we have no chocolate!
