Hey guys, with the talk of all of Devin's recurring themes and self-references both lyrically and musically, I'm wondering if there's a place where all of these are compiled so that people can find them? They're definitely interesting things to hunt for. I've been searching the message board for a thread about it, nothing really seemed to come up except for a thread exclusively about references on Addicted. So I'm wondering, should I make a universal recurring themes thread, or does it already exist and I'm just missing it?

OR to continue the awesome watermelon extravaganza: Ki is deliberating whether or not to eat the whole watermelon then deciding to dive in, Addicted is the first bit, glorious and refreshing on a hot summers day, then Decon is the difficult finish and subsequent pooping yourself from eating too much watermelon, then Ghost is the content feeling when the poop is all gone and you're strangely refreshed.

Back to Deconstruction, 8:44-9:14 of The Mighty Masturbator is now my ringtone. And how mother-fugging awesome it is.

On the whole SYL/Decon thing, I already touched on it, but I just marvel how Decon is so fucking dense and heavy but it puts a smile on my face. I groove to it while I headbang to it. SYL makes me want to scream and punch things (which is good when I want to scream and punch things... namely babies). Decon is a monumental work for how it is metal, but is far beyond metal (see what I did there?) in how it is happy and fun while being so intense. And that's why it feels completely genuine for who Devin is at this very moment just how I feel Alien and City were genuine for those moments. As much as I frackin love The New Black, I can hear the strain behind it of Devin not really feeling it anymore.

Anyway, I love Deconstruction, I guess is all I'm saying.

Also... when the farts kick in on Deconstruction, does anybody else think of Devin as Terrance and Phillip? Just going like "FART" AHAHAHAHA! "FART" AHAHAHAHA! Back and forth? Cracks me up everytime... if I knew how to make animated gifs I'd totally put his head on them farting back and forth... sadly, my computer knowledge only goes so far (in other words: HINT HINT NUDGE NUDGE SOMEONE MAKE ONE FOR ME! ).
