2 months out, after a tour etc... the interviews require me to be 'on' to the point where I am more awkward socially than usual...

Listening to that song out of context is bizarre...

Tons of interview questions about 'why I like scatalogical humor' ... too much of a good thing?

...I'm actually not as much 'into it' as you may think... like it because it revolts people. Starting to become 'my thing'

...yikes!

:)

It's the oldest trick in the book for those of us who get a little uncomfortable in a social setting. Find a way to make everyone else uncomfortable, too. It's empowering. And fun.

A break well deserved, Mr. Townsend!

As for the Frankfurt-Deconstruction video: I like what I hear.
Sounds like a HUGE production and mix.

And I like what I see: Nothing better than a crowd of german music snobs being overchallenged.
And that's coming from a german music snob.

I think people think about stuff too deeply, I like poo bum and fanny jokes because I'm a fiercely childish 22 year old who laughs at anything. Unfortunately folk are too analytical and get frustrated when you don't give them the response they want. It sucked for me as I was at art school for 4 years surrounded by fine artists churning out wank, then when I made something totally badass, I wasn't allowed to have made it for the purpose of "shits and giggles".

Seriously though, if you're not too busy while you're down here you know where to find me and the Ambz! We're a bit fun B)

Are Decon and Ghost still double LPs?

I only ask because I notice tracks missing from each album's final track listing. Such as Stand (Ghost Version) and Mad at my Dad (On Decon)

Maybe the titles just got changed?

I'm not griping by any means I'm just a curious fan :]

^ pretty sure Decon is a single disc at this point; "Mad at My Dad," "Brownman," etc. were dropped. Dev gave us the tracklist for the second Ghost disc, but according to the French reviews of D+G, they're both only single discs. and i think the Ghost "Stand" was renamed, but i have no idea which song on the second disc it would be (besides "Radial Highway" and "Drench," obviously).

Just check Dev's posts; it's buried in there somewhere... sorry I'm not sure what topic it is. I think it's something like...

Radial Highway
Drench
---
Late Summer
Mend
Coming Home
Watch You
---
...and a few others. Coming Home is last; Radial Highway is first, can't remember more. Hope that helps!

Watch You is the Stand reprise, if I'm right...

Just wanted to say; congrats on the break, man! Between everything you've been doing for us, as fans (filming and posting here and interviews and whatnot) as well as touring and recording two monolithic albums back-to-back... you seriously deserve some time off. :D

...and, for the record, I agree with Lettuce on people taking everything a bit too seriously, sometimes. I'm all for philosophical debates and deep, metaphorical concepts and all that intellectual bullshit, but... sometimes, you don't NEED to have an explanation for everything. So what if there's a sample of someone crapping his insides out on Deconstruction's title track? It's funny (but then again, I'm a guy with a very dry sense of humor) and it works in the context of the song. People don't need to over-analyze it, or start drawing conclusions about about Dev just because he decided to include something like that in one of his albums... take it for what it is, and move on. Or, at least, that's how I feel when people here something like that and go 'that man is must be disturbed because he included samples of someone farting in his music! He must be obsessed with that kind of disgusting humor; etc.'

Man, almost let a cab driver get to me today.

I hope he has a great night, and all his dreams come true. I hope his family is happy, and I hope he wins the lottery and lives happily ever after.

For real.

...can't bring me down sir.
